Wind for Schools - Pupils visit the ECC wind farm in Romania

08 Apr 2013 | From 2nd to 4th  April the Energy Competence Centre GmbH offered to the classes of a local school a special excursion at its project site in Pantelimon / Romania.

As part of these special project days, Emil Dogaeas and Octavian from  ECC Romania,  spoke to the pupils of the 1st Class, as well as to the ones from the  third to the sixth class about  Renewable Energies and especially about electricity  generation from wind energy.

Highlight of the event was the on-site visit to a wind power plant at the site in Pantelimon, in which the children were given the opportunity to learn about the topic of renewable energies through a concrete example.

In Romania, the Energy Competence Centre GmbH operates a total of 12 wind turbines ENERCON E53 with a total power installed of 9.6 MW in 4 different locations.
